Application page for FISU World University Orienteering Championship in Vila Real Portugal

The World University Championships organised every 2 years, is planned in 2026 in Vila Real Portugal from 28/07 to 01/08/2026.

This event is dedicated to students.  The conditions to take part are:

• be registered in an high school or university or have been graduated in 2025
• have Belgian nationality
• be between 18 and 25 years old on  31/12/2026.
• be authorized or selected by the Belgium Orienteering Federation = ABSO

This race is not in the official planning for the Belgium Elite & JWOC teams, there is no funding foreseen, but we think it is a good opportunity to compete at international level.

If you are interested by this championship register on this page before January 2026.

The Belgian delegation is limited to 6 woman athletes and 6 men athletes.

If there are more than 6 woman and/or more than 6 men candidates, the 'Belgium Team Committee' will define selection criteria, and inform you by February 2026.
